Instructions
  1. Melt butter in large pot.
  2. Add chopped onions - cook on medium until tender and golden. Stir often. Boil and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add sugar and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add broth, bring to boil and cook for 12 minutes.
  5. Add brandy and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Season.
  7. Serve with croutons or toast and sprinkled parmesan.
