In addition to our FPL Seed Library offerings, NBCHG has a variety shelling or baking beans available in limited quantities.

They are easy to grow, just plant when the soil warms, keep weeded, and harvest at the end of the season. These types of beans are very nutritious, can be prepared in a variety of ways, and are easy to store.

We also have a limited supply of soups peas which have grown well. We also have lentils which grow well in our area but are very labor intensive to shell the lentils, and we have tried chickpeas which do not seem to grow well in our area.
